About Transition Engineering
Details The next big challenge for all engineering fields is handling wicked problems. Wicked problems are successful and profitable engineered systems that are also unsustainable. Our energy and material systems provide huge benefits and conveniences, and they make money. But they also are unsustainable, incur unacceptable external costs, and pose environmental and social risks. Transition Engineering is emerging to deal with wicked problems. The 7-step approach results in innovative transition shift projects. Details Anyone who agrees with the objectives and ethics of GATE can join as an Associate Member. But to gain status as an Engineering Member and be recognised as a professional Transition Engineer, you need to learn the approach to wicked problems, the methodology and tools. Transition Engineering is non-denominational so any accredited undergraduate degree qualification is sufficient.
