About Transition Engineering

About Transition Engineering

Details  The next big challenge for all engineering fields is handling wicked problems. Wicked problems are successful and profitable engineered systems that are also unsustainable. Our energy and material systems provide huge benefits and conveniences, and they make money. But they also are unsustainable, incur unacceptable external costs, and pose environmental and social risks. Transition Engineering is emerging to deal with wicked problems. The 7-step approach results in innovative transition shift projects. Explore the Knowledge and Training resources where GATE members share experience with innovating, engineering and managing transition shift projects.
